Still from Horizon

HORIZON

Sound and video installation.

CABIN/ET's first project is self referential, it is the story of a journey on a container ship from Thamesport to Montreal, across the Atlantic.

Accompanying an image of the horizon taken from the ship, as it rises and falls, is a 1 1/2 hour narration. This narration tracks, like a diary the thought processes of Tom Wolseley as the journey unfolds, how the expectation and desire for escape of the departure meets the experience of slow material movement across the alien world of the mid ocean.

A slow rotating mirror that reflects the horizon around the interior of the container.

This project will be later published in book form, by Architrope Press.
